Vote on behalf vs. Subscribe User

Vote On Behalf, comes handy when you as a admin or your team members would like to submit a feedback on behalf of one your customers. Some of the customers might not be available to submit feedback or vote themselves. Here’s where Vote on Behalf comes into play!

To place a vote on behalf of a user:

  1. Go into the specific Post you would like to upvote
  2. Over, the right of the post page, under the “Manage Post” section click on Admin Options
  3. Scroll down to Vote on behalf and click on it
  4. Enter the voter’s email address and name (Optional)
  5. Click on Vote to submit it.

For a public organization when a vote is registered and the email will be sent to the user regarding upvoting action, the user can browse through the rest of the submissions (which are public). Whereas, for a private organization the customer can see only the specific feedback they submitted and nothing else. A user you voted on behalf of will receive email notifications for every update made on that post.

Subscribe User to a post will add that user as a watcher. However, this user will not be added to the list of voters. A user you subscribed to a post will also receive email notifications for every update made on that post.

To subscribe a user to a post:

  1. Go into the specific Post you would like to upvote
  2. Over, the right of the post page (sidebar), under the “Manage Post” section click on Admin Options
  3. Scroll down to Subscribe user and click on it
  4. Enter the user’s email address
  5. Click on Subscribe to submit it.

This user is free to unsubscribe from the post anytime, by clicking on the Unsubscribe button in the emails they receive related to the updates made on the post. Or by directly in the post.
